@BTCNewsUpdates The reward is the ability to validate network status and broadcast transactions without relying on a third party node. Not every mobile needs to be a node but a high enough barrier to entry can lock out many startups, lower capitalised participants & has a centralising effect.

@mindstatex I understand the difference in direction and both ideas are worth trying but it shows that #SegWit2x would have been a pointless compromise in the first pace if its already accelerating this far + I don’t think it’s fair to say that #BTC don’t want commercial levels of capacity.

Apparently 32 megabyte blocks weren’t enough. Terabyte blocks are on the roadmap for #BitcoinCash. I don’t see too many consumers running full nodes at that spec.
